No. We deliver, position, level, and set up the Basecamp for you. Whether you’re new to camping or a seasoned camper, you can arrive and enjoy your stay. If you have questions before your trip, we’re happy to help.

At this time, stillwild is a delivery-and-setup experience. We personally transport and set up the Basecamp for every reservation to ensure it’s safely prepared for your arrival.

A refundable security deposit is required for every stay. The standard deposit is $1,000. You may instead choose a $500 refundable deposit plus a $50 non-refundable damage waiver fee.

The reduced-deposit option does not eliminate responsibility for damages, missing items, excessive cleaning, or rental agreement violations.

Before arrival, you’ll complete a security deposit authorization and rental agreement. After your stay, we’ll inspect the Basecamp. If everything is returned in the condition provided, your deposit will be released or returned according to your rental agreement.

If deductions are needed for damage, missing items, excessive cleaning, or other charges, we’ll provide documentation, including photos and receipts when applicable, before applying them.

We understand that plans can change, and we want to make the booking process as transparent and fair as possible.

Before your reservation is confirmed:
You may withdraw your request for a full refund.

After your reservation is confirmed:
• If your booking is made 7 or more days before your arrival date, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking confirmation for a full refund.
• If your booking is made fewer than 7 days before your arrival date, you may cancel within 1 hour of booking confirmation for a full refund.
• Same-day bookings are not eligible for a cancellation grace period.

Cancellations more than 30 days before arrival:
You will receive a full refund of your rental payment.

Cancellations 30 days or fewer before arrival:
The guest is responsible for 50% of the full rental amount, plus any applicable add-ons, delivery fees, taxes, and non-refundable fees.

Military service exception:
Active-duty U.S. military service members are eligible for a full refund if cancellation is required due to the service member or an immediate family member entering active military duty. Documentation may be requested.

We encourage guests to reach out as soon as possible if circumstances change. We will always do our best to work with you while maintaining fairness to guests who have reserved dates and to our small business.

Our experiences, nightly rates, minimum stays, and cleaning fees are listed above. Add-ons and special requests let you personalize your stay. Contact us to discuss the options that suit your trip.

We work within your campground’s check-in and check-out policies, generally allowing about one hour at each end of your stay for setup and pickup.

If campground check-in is 2:00 PM, plan to arrive around 3:00 PM. If campground check-out is 12:00 PM, please vacate the campsite by 11:00 AM so we can pack up, clean, and depart on time.

If you’ve arranged different times with your campground or have special scheduling needs, let us know. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request when possible.

Bring personal items, weather-appropriate clothing, toiletries, food, beverages, and anything else you’d like for your time outdoors. Choose environmentally friendly, RV tank-safe toiletries whenever possible.

What’s provided depends on your chosen experience. Basecamp Essentials guests bring their own bedding and linens; the full stillwild experience includes them.

Pack layers—the Sonoma Coast and redwood forests can be cool even in summer. Your guest guidebook will include a complete packing list and additional recommendations before your stay.

We love pets—we have three of our own—but the Basecamp is pet-free. This helps us provide a clean, comfortable, allergy-conscious space for our guests. Thank you for understanding.

Your guest guidebook includes instructions, tips, and answers to common questions. If you need help during your stay, call or text us, and we’ll do our best to respond quickly.

We’ll answer your questions, recommend campsites if needed, and coordinate delivery and preparation for your chosen experience. When you arrive, the Basecamp will be ready for you.
